This Privacy Policy explains how YouCode Technologies Corporation ("YouCode", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit this YouGuard marketing website. It follows the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). This site is informational only — the YouGuard school console, where learner and guardian records are processed, is a separate, access-controlled application governed by its own agreements.

1. Who we are and what this covers

YouCode Technologies Corporation is a company registered in the Philippines, based in Makati City. We build YouGuard, a school safety and records platform.

This policy covers only this public marketing website. It does not cover the authenticated YouGuard console used by enrolled schools, which processes student records under separate data-processing terms with each school.

2. Information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

  • Contact details you submit — if you send us an enquiry, the name, school, email address, and message you provide.
  • Analytics data — only if analytics is enabled, aggregated usage statistics (such as pages visited and approximate region) collected through cookies.
  • Server logs — standard technical records such as IP address, browser type, and time of request, kept for security and troubleshooting.
  • Site preferences — your language and light/dark theme choice, stored in your own browser and not sent to us.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to respond to your enquiries, to operate, secure, and improve the website, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (which you give by submitting the contact form) and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, consistent with RA 10173. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

5. Cookies and analytics

The site uses a small number of cookies. Essential storage remembers your language and theme. If analytics is enabled, an analytics cookie helps us understand aggregate site usage.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential storage may affect how the site remembers your preferences.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (for example, email or analytics providers) under confidentiality obligations, and only when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

9. How we protect your data

We apply reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and security-hardening measures on our servers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorised access.

10. Children's privacy

This marketing site is intended for school administrators and staff, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this site.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will revise the effective date above when we do, and material changes will be posted on this page.
